At the end of your billing period, the author will receive a portion of your subscription depending on the total number of authors you ego-ed. If you ego-ed four authors and your total ego to give is $4, then each gets $1 ($4 / 4 authors).
However, we may not know who the author of the story is. A team member will investigate, identify the author(s) and reach out to get them signed up for Superego if they aren't already.
If we aren't able to identify the author or they aren't eligible to collect ego, we'll split the ego among the remaining authors. Continuing the example, instead of splitting between four authors, we split $4 between three.

Your readers and viewers appreciate you and so do we! To collect your ego, you will need to sign up for a free Superego account as an author and follow the instructions on the Author Dash.
How does Superego make money?
We take a cut: $1 for the $5 subscription. It goes towards:
- Creating the best curation engine in human history.
- Making the whole Internet ego-able.
- Bank and credit card transaction fees.
We don't sell your data. We aren't in cahoots with any publishers. And, because we don't make more money the more content you ego, we won't be vying for your precious attention like all the spammy feeds out there.
