Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms", "Terms of Service") carefully before using the Superego website, mobile application, and browser extension (the "Service") operated by Intertimes, Inc. ("Superego", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who wish to access or use the Service.
Superego is a content platform where users can tip (provide monetary payments to, "ego") authors to express appreciation for quality content.
By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms then you do not have permission to access the Service.
(a) Superego makes no representation, warranty, covenant or guarantee that any funds for egoing will be refunded in whole or in part, (b) Egos are philanthropic in nature and, as such, are not intended as, and cannot be considered as, an investment in a financial instrument or security. Egos are not cancellable or refundable to the User.
You acknowledge that egos to Authors does not constitute a charitable donation, and therefore you are not eligible to receive a tax deduction.
If we are unable to disperse payment to an author, we will reallocate those funds to other Authors egoed by the User. Reasons for this include, but are not limited to (a) Author located in a country subject to embargo under the laws of the United States, (b) Author is unreachable or refuses the funds. We reserve the right to refuse disbursing funds to Authors.
We respect the intellectual property of others, and ask our users to do the same. Our Service allows you to post, link, store, share and otherwise make available certain information, text, graphics, videos, or other material ("Content"). You are responsible for the Content that you post on or through the Service, including its legality, reliability, and appropriateness.
Subscriptions are automatically renewed at the end of each subscription period. The subscription fee will be charged to your last payment method. When you cancel, we will stop charging your account the following billing cycle. Each billing cycle is four weeks, so your access will continue for the remainder of the current four-week period. We do not issue refunds for subscriptions.
We reserve the right to charge for use of our services that are currently available free of charge. We will provide users with notice of any material change to the terms and conditions applicable to the subscription service, including any pricing changes, at least thirty days prior to such change taking effect.
If a user does not ego in a given billing cycle, funds (after expenses) will roll over to the following billing cycle. If three consecutive billing cycles pass without the User utilizing funds, Superego reserves the right to convert the entirety of the funds to revenue for Superego. While we acknowledge this isn't ideal and we do not want to collect these funds, it's important for us to maintain flexibility by bounding our time obligation on funds.
If you have developed a software application and are interested in integrating such application with Superego, you must get approval.

In no event shall Superego, Inc., nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
By using any of the Superego, you agree that the Federal Arbitration Act, applicable federal law, and the laws of the state of California, without regard to principles of conflict of laws, will govern these Terms of Service and any dispute of any kind that might arise between you and us.

Payment Information: If you choose to subscribe to our subscription service, our third party payment processors will collect and handle your credit card and related payment information. Such third party processors’ use of your personal information is governed by their respective privacy policies.
Except as set forth below, we do not share any personally identifiable information unless you expressly agree that we may do so.

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.

If you post content (articles, videos, podcasts, etc.) publicly, we may share that information with others in accordance with the options you select. If sharing with another person, we may send notifications on your behalf (push notifications, email) to that person with a link to the content that you have chosen to share.
You can terminate your Superego account. Your former account will be disassociated with your personal information including your username, name, profile picture, and email. Third-party authentication services such as Google Sign In and Apple Sign In will be unlinked.
We use browser cookies to track identities on Superego for logged-in users only.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes via email and posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
